Name the unit for where it physically sits — "Kitchen, above the fryer", not "Sensor 3". That name goes into every alert message about it, and at 2pm on a hot Saturday the difference between those two names is whether someone knows where to walk.
If your organization has stores set up, pick the store as you add the unit. That is what makes it a monitored unit rather than just a device that reports numbers.
