Getting around

Unit groups

An informal way to group units that don't follow your store structure — a bank of ovens, a set of trial installs.

Groups are a loose grouping of units, independent of stores, regions and markets. They are useful for things your org chart doesn't describe: every unit in a trial, or the four sensors around one production line.

Groups do not affect who is alerted. Notification routing follows stores, regions, markets and roles. If you want to change who hears about something, that is a store or scope change, not a group.
