Getting around

Setup — one place for everything you configure

Adding people, stores, regions, markets, roles and devices all live on the Setup page, grouped by what you're doing.

Setup is the answer to "where do I add…". Everything involved in configuring your organization is on that one page, grouped the way the job is actually done: people first, then places, then devices.

On a team plan, the very first thing Setup (and the dashboard) asks for is your organization's name. Everything else — stores, people, roles, invitations, the escalation chain, devices — lives inside that organization, so until it exists those pages aren't available. It takes a minute, once, and the card disappears as soon as it's done. The name you choose is what your team sees at the top of every page.
GroupWhat's in it
People & rolesThe people who can receive alerts or sign in, what each role can do and hears about, and the escalation chain
PlacesYour stores, and the regions and markets that group them
DevicesAdding a Wi-Fi unit, mapping a cellular fleet, and bulk import from a spreadsheet

The list is filtered by what your access level can actually do, so you are never shown a link that would turn you away. If a group is missing from your Setup page, that part of the configuration belongs to an administrator.

The same pages appear in the header's Organization and Devices & Records menus. The setup hub and the menus are generated from one registry, so they can't disagree about what setting up involves.

In the dashboard: Setup The guided walkthrough for your access level, and one home for every page involved in setting up your organization.
